The MainPower Community Fund has supported around 100 different community groups and school projects since 2015. Each group has been nominated and voted for by the people of North Canterbury. Learn more about the fund and make a nomination here.

Swannanoa School

Funding will go towards building a BMX track for the school and wider community.

The Eyreton Pony Club is a local sports club. Funding will go towards construction of horse yards at the club grounds to safely house horses while not being ridden. This will allow the club to host multi-day events, with horses able to stay on site across multiple days.

Riding for the Disabled assists each individual rider to gain confidence and success, through the bonding with horse, coach and volunteer.

North Canterbury Academy of Music

The North Canterbury Academy of Music was established in 1983, with just six enthusiastic young students and their families. Over the years the academy grew and today has a membership of over 100 students. Based at the Rangiora Town Hall, the academy offers class and individual tuition in singing and in ten instruments, covering every musical style. The academy is managed by an elected committee made up of teachers and parents and part funded by the Ministry of Education.
