The MainPower Community Fund recipients

The MainPower Community Fund has supported around 50 different community groups and school projects since 2015. Each group has been nominated and voted for by the people of North Canterbury.

North Canterbury Academy of Music

The North Canterbury Academy of Music was established in 1983, with just six enthusiastic young students and their families. Over the years the academy grew and today has a membership of over 100 students. Based at the Rangiora Town Hall, the academy offers class and individual tuition in singing and in ten instruments, covering every musical style. The academy is managed by an elected committee made up of teachers and parents and part funded by the Ministry of Education.
